California Company Solves Age Old Wallboard Cutting Problem

VALLEJO, CA, Jan 7, PRNewswire — The EZRip Drywall Tool Company today unveiled its drywall and plasterboard cutting tool EZRip which enables wallboard professionals to cut drywall and plasterboard more effectively. The remarkable tool combines measuring, marking and cutting into one quick and easy operation with convenient storage for 10 additional blades. The EZRip vastly improves the efficiency of drywall and plasterboard cutting and completely eliminates traditional training time. The EZRip is now available to the construction industry for the first time.

"It just didn't make any sense to us the way wallboard was being cut,” said engineer, Robert Turner. “It seemed rather crude to have to use a tape measure and utility knife with your thumb as a guide. We felt that we could solve the drywall and plasterboard cutting problem and spent countless dollars and man hours developing the first prototype. In the beginning, the progress was very slow and the prototypes were constantly being dismantled and modified until our first patent was granted in 1995. Today, we continue to refine our original idea by making innovative and labor saving improvements."
